Day One

Make your way to the London Cruise Terminal for embarkation, and enjoy your first night on board.

Day Two

A call at Amsterdam - city of Rembrandt, 'brown bars' and canals - to allow some further fellow adventurers to come aboard.

Days Three to Six

The first leg of your cruise will give you the chance to acquaint yourselves with the 'Marco Polo"s many facilities, and the chance to get to know some of your fellow passengers.

Day Seven

The pretty and very friendly island of Sao Miguel, largest of the Azores archipelago, welcomes 'Marco Polo'. Explore the port city of Ponta Delgada, with its magnificent architecture, 16th and 17th century artwork, and an array of fine churches.

Days Eight to 12

Another few days spent at sea.

Day 13

Tiny Antigua boasts wonderful scenery, powder-white sandy beaches and warm azure seas, as well as thriving St John's, colonial English Harbour and Shirley Heights.

Day 14

Laid back, traditional St Kitts offers a landscape dotted with restored plantation inns, and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Brimstone Hill Fortress, known as 'The Gibraltar of the West Indies', with its breathtaking views.

Day 15

The tropical island paradise of mountainous St Lucia combines the vibrant Creole atmosphere and hustle and bustle of its capital Castries, with the idyllic scenery of the west coast, where the twin peaks of the 'Pitons' are amongst the Caribbean's most famous landmarks.

Day 16

Today is spent at sea, enjoying life on board.

Day 17

The paradise island of Bonaire is the first of three calls in the Dutch Antilles' 'ABC' islands. Explore the tiny capital Kralendijk, or venture into the rugged hinterland -home to thousands of pink flamingos.

Day 18

Curacao's capital Willemstad is designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is a picture-postcard-perfect place for wandering. Shore excursions will include the chance to visit the island's liqueur distillery, where the famous Curaçao Blue is produced.

Day 19 - Christmas Eve

Aruba, the final 'ABC' island, is a glitzy home to several man-made resorts and luxurious beachside retreats, where the capital, Oranjestad, bustles with life. Shop for last-minute gifts in a host of duty-free shopping malls, or take an excursion inland.

Day 20 - Christmas Day

It's Christmas Day, and Captain, Officers, crew and Cruise Team will do all they can to ensure that your day is one to remember.

Day 21

Grenada, the 'Spice Island' of welcomes 'Marco Polo' today. Stroll off some Christmas calories in the attractive British colonial capital St George's, or discover the island's rain-forested interior and its two - Windward and Leeward - scenic coasts on an excursion.

Day 22

St Vincent, with its still-active volcano La Soufriere and charming Kingstown, the capital, and idyllic Bequia, where 'Marco Polo' anchors in serene Admiralty Bay, are two picture-postcard-perfect ports of call today.

Day 23

Tiny Mayreau, with truly stunning beaches, is Heaven on Earth! Spend a lazy day dipping in and out of the blue water, enjoying a beach-barbecue courtesy of the ship's chefs, or spend just a little more energy on an optional catamaran excursion to the Tobago Cays.

Day 24

Barbados' bustling, colourful capital Bridgetown is gateway exquisite beaches, swanky resort hotels and exclusive shore-side restaurants, and today ranks amongst the highlights of this wonderful cruise.

Days 25 to 30

Relax and enjoy some more leisurely days at sea, and get ready for some traditional shipboard fun.

Day 31

Madeira is a sun-blessed, lush, green sub-tropical paradise, the capital, Funchal a perfect, relaxing, captivating port of call. Don't miss the exhilaration of a wickerwork 'toboggan' ride from Monte to Livramento!

Day 32

Another relaxing day at sea.

Day 33

Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, and 'Gateway to the New Worlds', stands on the River Tagus, down which the great explorers sailed during the Age of Exploration. Explore the maze of narrow, hilly streets of the Alfamar district on a shore excursion.

Days 34 to 35

Two final days spent at sea offer a final chance to relax and relive the adventures of the past few weeks.

Day 36

Bid farewell to 'Marco Polo', as you disembark in Tibury at the end of a wonderful cruise.
