Join our coach before it boards the ferry to cross the Channel and head to join Olympia in the ancient Rhine town of Andernach. After a first evening meal, enjoy a nightcap in the ship's bar, or simply retire to your comfortable cabin.
Olympia sails early this morning from Andernach, heading upstream into the Middle Rhine to Koblenz and the mighty Ehrenbreitstein castle.
Admire the picturesque twists and turns of the River Moselle, before stepping ashore to explore the pretty winemaking village of Cochem, nestled beneath fairy-tale Reichsburg Castle. There will be a chance to explore the castle on this afternoon's optional excursion.
Enjoy a scenic cruise back to Koblenz, before arriving later this afternoon in delightful Boppard, the 'Pearl of the Rhine'. Discover the wine-making town's many charms on our included walking tour and, this evening, enjoy dinner and entertainment on board, or step ashore to experience Boppard by night.
Olympia sails into the beautiful Middle Rhine today. You'll pass vineyards and ancient villages, before heading through the narrow gorge beneath the fabled Lorelei, the legendary rock where sirens were said to have lured sailors to their fates.
This afternoon, Olympia ties up in Rudesheim. Step ashore to explore the celebrated wine town's narrow streets - the most celebrated of which, the Drosselgasse, is lined with bars and Weinstuben (wine taverns) - and join our optional excursion to see the quirky wonders of Siegfried's Musikal Kabinett.
Having sailed south during the night, Olympia arrives early this morning in stylish Mannheim, at the confluence of the Rhine and the River Neckar. Join the optional excursion to beautiful Heidelberg, the 'Student Prince' city set beneath an imposing castle, before sailing onto the great city of Mainz. Enjoy dinner on board and step ashore to explore.
Enjoy an included walking tour of Mainz, with its six-towered cathedral, Gutenberg Museum and delightful Altstadt of half-timbered houses, before returning to Olympia for this afternoon's sailing into the River Main. You'll pass through an exquisite vineyard-clad landscape, and head east towards Frankfurt's soaring skyline, arriving after dinner this evening.
Take the optional guided tour this morning and discover Frankfurt's historic Altstadt, the towering facade of the Kaiserdom church, and the delightful lanes of Sachsenhausen - home to countless cafes and bars serving traditional Ebbelwoi or Apfelwein cider. The rest of the day is free to explore, or to relax on board Olympia.
This evening, the Captain hosts a Farewell Dinner, with the chance to swap memories of the past wonderful few days with fellow passengers.
Bid farewell to Olympia, and begin your coach journey back to the UK.
Please note that cruises departing on October 3rd and 4th operate a reverse itinerary sailing from Frankfurt to Andernach. All included calls and highlights remain the same although the days will change. On these dates Olympia will overnight in Alken on 9th October after time spent in Cochem. All pricing and optional excursions remain the same.
Our flexible joining options allow you to travel on any date, and as an added convenience we've arranged two possible pre-departure options for you. Make your own way to the Holiday Inn Ashford North and stay the night (car parking is included), and our coach will call for you at the hotel on the way to the Channel.
Alternatively, make your own way to the Stop 24 Services in Kent (M20, Junction 11), and board the coach there. Parking is available (payable locally), and we'll confirm the exact meeting point and time in your Joining Instructions.
Optional excursions are available on all cruises, and we recommend that you book now to secure your place. If the number of bookings needed to operate any excursion is not reached, the excursion may be cancelled. In this case your payment will be refunded in full.
Tipping is not compulsory, but from experience we know that many passengers like to leave gratuities for the crew. An envelope will be left in your cabin for this purpose.
The dress code on board and ashore is casual. After 7pm, in the lounge and restaurant, shorts are not permitted, and footwear and a shirt or T-shirt must be worn.
Where possible, non-rigid suitcases are easier to store within your cabin.
The tap water on board is safe to drink, but may not be to your taste due to the purification system. Bottled water can be purchased on board and locally.
On rare occasions, the Captain may need to alter the Cruise Itinerary. If this happens, the Cruise Manager will keep passengers informed.
*Offer applies to new bookings only. Prices shown when booking do not include the discount. The discount amount will be added to your booking once the Promo Code has been entered and will be confirmed before purchase. Discounts apply to all cabin categories.
