Itinerary

Day One

We leave the local area this morning, stopping en route for the chance to have lunch (payable locally), before arriving at our hotel in time to unpack and relax before dinner is served.

Day Two

Spend a fascinating day at Greenock as the town celebrates its maritime past. Enjoy the music, dancing, street theatre and craft fair, soak up the festival atmosphere in one of the many bars or eateries, and find out what life is like on-board with a visit to the magnificent Tall Ships themselves. A stunning fireworks display brings to the day to an end before we return to the hotel.

Day Three

Today we return to Greenock for the final celebrations and to watch the famous 'Parade of Sail'. Have your cameras at the ready as the whole fleet, in glorious full sail, leaves port, at what marks the end of the Tall Ships' Race 2011.

In the afternoon we'll visit Scotland's capital, Glasgow. This fantastic city overflows with style and culture, a fantastic blend of excellent museums and art galleries (most of them free), fascinating architecture and the best shopping outside London. While away a few hours, and perhaps have an early dinner (payable locally), before we return to our hotel.

Day Four

Today we bid Greenock farewell and make our way back to the local area, arriving by late evening.
