The world's greatest steeplechase

Experience the drama of The John Smith's Grand National - one of Britain's most exciting sporting occasions, and truly a unique experience. With admission to Steeplechase Enclosure included in the price, plus overnight accommodation, this holiday is a sure bet!

Day One

Leaving the local area in the morning we'll journey to Aintree. Soak up the incomparable atmosphere of the home of the 'World's Greatest Steeplechase', and enjoy a full card of thrilling racing as well as the afternoon's highlight - the spectacular running of the 2011 John Smith's Grand National.

Place your bets, cheer on your favourites and perhaps enjoy an early dinner before we transfer to your overnight hotel in the Manchester area for a good night's rest.

Day Two

After a full English breakfast, we'll begin our journey home. En route we'll visit the walled city of Chester, where you'll be able to do some sightseeing and perhaps some shopping, before we continue homewards in the early afternoon, arriving back in the local area by mid evening.

Your Aintree admission

The Steeplechase Enclosure provides excellent viewing of the last few fences of the Grand National (though not the other races on the afternoon programme). With unreserved grandstand and Embankment seats, large-screen TV viewing (showing all of the afternoon's racing action), and a variety of bars, catering and betting facilities, this enclosure provides all the atmosphere you would expect from a day at the Grand National.

Tattersalls enclosure upgrade

Tattersalls was greatly enhanced in 2007 with the completion of the new Aintree Pavilion. A Tattersalls ticket entitles you to use the bar and catering areas within the Chair Pavilion, the Irish Bar in the Princess Royal Stand, and to see the parade ring and winner's enclosure.
